Honda Inaugurates all new Traffic Park in association with Delhi Police for Road Safety Promotion in the Capital

• Special Road Safety Promotion activities to conducted daily engaging all age groups

Delhi, July 20, 2013: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) today announced its association with Delhi Police. Setting a new landmark in promotion of road safety as a responsible corporate, Honda has adopted and done a complete makeover of the all new Traffic Training Park at Roshanara Bagh, Delhi Spread over an area of 2.06 acres, the new face-lifted Traffic Training Park at Roshanara Bagh is designed as a hub of road safety activities to meet the needs of people residing in North Delhi. At the Traffic Training Park, Honda will promote Road Safety in a specially designed, protected environment. With its unique Lifetime Safety Education, Honda`s skilled safety instructors will daily engage all age groups starting from as young as 5 years young children to adults with a special focus on new and female riders.

Special Primary School activity is planned for children from 5-8 years of age. Honda’s specially imported CRF 50 model will help young minds from 9-12 years understand the importance of safety riding through practical riding experience. Children will be encouraged to learn the Do’s and Don’ts of road safety the “fun way” through activities like cycling on test track dotted with miniature road signs and signals.

Theoretical sessions & riding trainer (also present at every Honda dealership across India), will aid young people above 13 years of age to experience over 100 possible dangers on road. This virtual experience increases their ability to predict & react to traffic hazards by creating awareness & knowledge about potential risks & solutions.

Present at inauguration of new Traffic Park were Mr. Neeraj Kumar (CP – Delhi Police), Mr. Bhim Sain Bassi (Special CP - Administration, Delhi Police), Mr. Taj Hassan (Special CP - Traffic, Delhi Police) Mr. Anil Shukla (ACP - Traffic, Delhi Police), Mr. Keita Muramatsu (President & CEO, HMSI) and Mr. Y S. Guleria (Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMSI).

Globally, Road Safety Promotion has been one of Honda`s top priorities worldwide since 1970. Under the "People Come First" philosophy, Honda follows Safety as integral part of all its business activities. Our first Driving Safety Promotion centre was established in 1970 in Japan. Today, this effort has spread to include 36 countries including India worldwide.
