Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced a voluntary campaign for CB1000 Hornet SP.
Gear Shift Pedal Pivot Bolt Falls Off :
HMSI has identified that due to excessive radiant heat from the exhaust system softening the painted seating surface, the change pedal pivot bolt may loosen and fall off while riding, which can affect gear shifting.
Africa Twin (CRF1100)
ECU (Engine Control Unit) Software Update
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced a voluntary campaign for Africa Twin (CRF1100)
The company has identified a concern with the motorcycle’s throttle operation. During acceleration, the wheelie control system may get activated unexpectedly which in some cases may lead to loss of balance.
CBR1000RR
Inspection and Replacement of Fuel Pump
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India today announced a voluntary recall for limited units of CBR1000RR.
As per defect information, the fuel pump impellers may have been improperly molded, which can cause them to deform and result in fuel pump failure. If the fuel pump module becomes inoperative, the engine may not start or can stall without indication while riding.
CB300F
Front & Rear Wheel Speed Sensor
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced a voluntary campaign for CB300F.
It has been observed that due to an improper molding procedure being followed, water may seep into the wheel speed sensor. This may lead to a speed sensor malfunction causing error in the speedometer, traction control or ABS intervention. In worst the case scenario, it may result in ineffective braking.
CB1000 Hornet SP
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced a voluntary campaign for CB1000 Hornet SP.
Excessive Engine Oil Consumption:
HMSI has identified that oil consumption rate in some vehicles with defective parts may increase significantly. If driving continues without noticing the decrease in oil level, a drop in oil pressure may lead to seizure of the connecting rod metal and connecting rod breakage, which could result in rear wheel lock. Additionally, discharged oil may come into contact with the muffler when it is at high temperature, which may lead to a vehicle fire.
CBR650R
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced a voluntary campaign for CBR650R.
Harness Wire Short Circuit:
HMSI has identified that that in some vehicles, a wiring part in the turn signal system may rub against a metal component, and vibration over time could cause a short circuit. This may lead to some lights not functioning, which does not meet regulatory requirements.
